Theater Medical Information Program - Joint
The Theater Medical Information Program - Joint (TMIP-J) is a family of systems designed to
aid deployed medical personnel in all levels of care in theater, including complete clinical
care documentation, medical supply and equipment tracking, patient movement visibility, and
health surveillance.
TMIP-J software is integrated to address the program's four mission pillars:
- Electronic Health Record
- Medical Command and Control
- Medical Logistics
- Patient Movement and Tracking
In order to address these mission pillars, TMIP-J adapts and integrates a number of commercial
off-the-shelf and government off-the-shelf medical systems that are currently used to support
the medical business practice for the sustaining bases. TMIP-J modifies the applications and
integrates them into one system in order to operate on the battlefield.
