Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System

The Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (CCQAS) is a MHS Web-based, worldwide credentialing, privileging, risk management, and adverse actions application supporting medical personnel readiness. Utilizing standardized credentialing and privileging practices, and deployed worldwide to 1,627 Professional Affairs Coordinators in 543 locations, CCQAS contains data on more than 37,000 privileged providers (Active Duty, Reserve, Guard, Civil Service, contractors, and volunteers) of the MHS. CCQAS enables the military medical community to electronically manage the privileging, credentialing, malpractice claims, and adverse actions of physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, medical technologists, and other medical support personnel.

It also contains comprehensive data on licensure, education and training certifications, National Practitioner Data Bank findings, and medical personnel readiness data. The workflow process, supporting credentialing and privileging, is fully automated, making CCQAS a centralized source system for all provider-related information. CCQAS provides online electronic credentialing and privileging, enabling providers to enter their own credentials data and to apply for privileges; includes the capability to modify, renew, and transfer provider data from MTF to MTF; and automates the routing, reviewing, and approving of privilege requests.

Finally, CCQAS automates the provider Performance Assessment Report (PAR), increasing visibility of provider competency data to the Privileging Authority.
